David Alan Thornton makes his Greenroom 42 debut in Acting Out! The Songs of David Alan Thornton. Nora Schell (Jagged Little Pill), Emily Behny (Wicked [national tour]), Bill Coyne (The Deuce [HBO]) and more bring new energy to Thornton's music in a one-of-a-kind evening of intimacy, fun, and feeling. All proceeds from the concert will go to benefit Playhouse Creatures Theatre Company's Little Creatures Act Out program, which brings performing arts opportunities to underserved children in NYC. It promises to be a night of addictive melody and laugh-out-loud humor, all for a great cause. Don't miss it!

Some of the world's biggest pop acts and DJs are locked in for the second ever edition of Summer Daze Malta. The newly expanded event will take place on 11-17th August at various venues across the idyllic Mediterranean island.

Celebrated Producer Michael Childers will bring his latest edition of One Night Only to The McCallum Theatre on April 24, 2019 with a star-studded cast including Christine Andreas, John Barrowman, Liz Calloway and more. This season's ONO is a tribute to Andrew Lloyd Webber and proceeds will benefit The Barbara Sinatra Children's Center. I had the chance to catch up with Michael as he was crafting this season's sell-out event. Here are a few excerpts from that conversation:

Choreographer David Appel premieres Where we are, what we do on Friday November 16th and Saturday November 17th at 8:00pm as part of the series Take Root at Green Space, 37-24 24th Street, in Long Island City, NY. Tickets may be purchased online for $15 by going to www.greenspacestudio.org/november or for $20 at the door (no reservations). Also performing on this program is the Catey Ott Dance Collective.

Green Space has announced a diverse roster of artists for its signature programs this November. Take Root will present an evening of work by Catey Ott Dance Collective and David Appel on November 16th and 17th, and Fertile Ground will showcase works-in-progress by multiple dance artists on November 18th.
