Academy Donates $6 Million to The Actors Fund, Motion Picture & Television Fund, and the Academy Foundation

According to Variety, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences donated $6 million to support motion picture employees and their families financially affected by the current health crisis. The donation will also provide aid to institutions focused on supporting diverse filmmakers.

Oscar-nominated producer Lynette Howell Taylor and producer Stephanie Allain will produce the 92ndOscars, Academy President David Rubin announced today. It will be their first involvement with the Oscars, which airs live on ABC and broadcast outlets worldwide on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020.

Casting Society of America (CSA) today announced the television and theatre nominees for the 35th Artios Awards, which honor the contribution of Casting Directors to film, television and theatre. The winners will be revealed on Thursday, January 30, 2020 in ceremonies in Los Angeles, New York City and London. Comedian, actor and writer Ron Funches will serve as host for the Los Angeles event.

Location Casting Directors, Casting Executives and Department Heads who are CSA members and who receive credit on winning projects also receive an Artios Award.
