Profiles in History, run by Joe Maddalena, is proud to announce that a historic collection of costumes worn by Christopher Plummer 'Captain Von Trapp' and the 'Von Trapp Children' from The Sound of Music, will be going up for sale at their Hollywood Auction today, December 21st.

THE SOUND OF MUSIC will air on the small screen yet again this holiday season. This time ABC will broadcast the 1965 film version, starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer, on December 22 (7pm).

Profiles in History, run by Joe Maddalena, is proud to announce that a historic collection of costumes worn by Christopher Plummer 'Captain Von Trapp' and the 'Von Trapp Children' from The Sound of Music, will be going up for sale at their Hollywood Auction on December 21st. The Sound of Music has been popular in recent auctions, with a lot this summer selling for over $1.5 million, also from Profiles in History. This distinctive set contains a key Christopher Plummer costume; this past summer's sale included the children and Julie Andrews' costumes.

Opposite NBC's Sunday Night Football (San Francisco-Seattle) and Fox's big NFL primetime overrun into the first hour of the night, ABC's 4-hour rebroadcast of THE SOUND OF MUSIC delivered solid increases over last year's telecast, up by 1.5 million viewers and by 22% in Adults 18-49.
