The winner of four 2010 Tony awards including Best Musical, MEMPHIS celebrated its one year anniversary on Broadway Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at the Shubert Theatre and again on Sunday, October 17 at B.B. King.

Sometimes you go to the theatre to see a star, but you end up seeing something different -- or stumbling upon something even better. This past weekend, I went to two Broadway shows that had understudies. In both cases, I was entirely happy with what I saw.

Last night, September 23, the stars of Memphis were honored with a Wall of Fame painting at Tony di Napoli's restaurant to kick off the new Broadway season and celebrate the cast's one year anniversary on Broadway. The painting was created by Dan May. Valerie Smaldone produced and emceed the event, which was hosted by Tony di Napoli's Bruce Dimpflmaier.

Kelsey Grammer, Tony®-nominated star of the Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of La Cage Aux Folles and five-time Emmy Award winner, hosted Broadway on Broadway 2010 on Sunday, September 12th at 11:30 a.m.

Broadway Impact presented the final installment of 'Broadway Impact's Summer Concert Series at Joe's Pub' last night, August 23. This monthly concert featured cast members from Broadway shows, highlighting the theatre community's ongoing commitment to marriage equality. This final concert featured cast members from the 2010 Tony-winning Best Musical, Memphis. BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture the performance and brings you complete photo coverage below.

James Iglehart, Rhett George, Bryan Fenkart, Danielle Williamson, Brad Bass and Bryan Langlitz, among others, will perform during Broadway Impact's final summer concert series at Joe's Pub on Aug. 23 at 7 p.m.

Bryan Fenkart dropped by WPIX Morning News to perform 'Imperfect Man' from his upcoming solo album 'Simple And Grey.' The Second Annual Broadway Meows: a Benefit Concert for the Humane Society of New York will be presented at Don't Tell Mama, one night only, Monday, July 19th at 7pm. The evening will feature the songs of composer/ lyricist Seth Bisen-Hersh. Bisen-Hersh will be joined on stage by a stellar cast including Brian Childers (Helen Hayes Award Winner, Danny & Sylvia), Sean Patrick Doyle (La Cage aux Folles), Bryan Fenkart (Memphis), Russell Fischer (Jersey Boys), Kimberly Faye Greenberg (Danny & Sylvia), Autumn Hurlburt (Legally Blonde), Lara Janine (Rock of Ages), Brianne Moore (The Visit), Brooke Sunny Moriber (The Wild Party), Olivia Oguma (Mamma Mia), Mary Orzano, Kate Rockwell (Hair), Brian Charles Rooney (The Threepenny Opera), Brandon Ruckdashel (Co-Ed Confidential), Kevin Vortmann (A Little Night Music), Correy West (South Pacific) and Kristen Beth Williams (Promises, Promises). The concert will be produced by Dennis Fowler, directed by Laura Pestronk, choreographed by Erin Porvaznika and stage managed by Livia Hill.

Amid an electrifying evening of dance by the greatest talents of Broadway and film, the 2010 Fred & Adele Astaire Award winners were announced at the 28th annual awards ceremony at the Gerald W. Lynch at John Jay College. The Douglas Watt Lifetime Achievement Award named for the late esteemed critic and co-founder of the Awards was presented to the legendary director and choreographer Kenny Ortega by Grammy winner Roberta Flack. Host for the evening was Ben Vereen.

Nominations for the 2010 Fred & Adele Astaire Awards were announced tonight by Emmy Award winner Richard Thomas.

Yesterday, January 14, MEMPHIS celebrated its 100th performance on Broadway. In honor of the event, all involved with the production, along with BroadwayWorld, celebrated at Justin Timberlake's restaurant, ‘Southern Hospitality' following the curtain.

To celebrate the 100th performance at the hit musical MEMPHIS, the first 100 people who buy tickets at the Shubert Box Office on Thursday, January 14th will get the newly released MEMPHIS Cast Album. In addition MEMPHIS will hold a lottery during the curtain call on Thursday, January 14, 2010 to invite a special member of the audience and their party to join the cast at Justin Timberlake's Manhattan hotspot Southern Hospitality. A winner will be chosen by a random seat location drawing. The lucky winner will then join David Bryan, cast and crew at the celebrity hangout Southern Hospitality. All ticket holders for the Thursday, January 14, 2010 performance are eligible.

The Original Broadway Cast Recording of the celebrated new musical MEMPHIS will be available for purchase exclusively at the Shubert Theatre (225 West 44th Street) and online at www.memphisthemusical.com beginning Friday, December 11th. This special edition will feature a bonus track of "Memphis Lives in Me" performed by composer and Bon Jovi founding member David Bryan. The cast of MEMPHIS recorded the album at Avatar Studios on Monday, November 16, 2009. The recording is produced by Delray Records and nationwide distribution details will be available shortly.
