BIO
A native of Santa Monica California, Broadway veteran Wallace Smith got his Broadway break playing the lead role of the Adult Simba in "Disney's Lion King", almost immediately afterwards landing roles in the revival of the 2009 "Ragtime", Tony Award winning revival "Hair" and Tony nominated Green Days Tony Award nominated Best Musical "American Idiot". From there he jumped to the role of Judas in the Broadway revival of "Godspell". Before landing the role of Apollo Creed's manager in Broadway's "Rocky: The Musical", Enjolras in the 2014 Broadway Smash Revival "Les Miserables", Wallace debuted in "White Noise" (Chicago), the coming of age Jeff Buckley musical "The Last Goodbye" (San Diego's Old Globe), and "Pippin" (Kansas City Rep) and many more. Smith's most recent Broadway performance was playing "Hercules Mulligan/James Madison" in the Broadway company of HAMILTON after performing the role in the original Chicago Company (2016). A triple threat, Wallace is also a singer/songwriter/recording artist, with three albums on all digital platforms 'Intersections' 'smithsoniAM' 'WestSide' and several singles on streaming. Smith was most recently seen as recurring role 'Detective Shakur' in the CW's Blacklightning and recently as series regular 'Otis Wright' in the SPTV series 'Panhandle'.
