BIO
Tom Hardy began his career after training at Drama Centre London, leaving early to appear in the HBO–BBC miniseries Band of Brothers (2001). He made his feature film debut in Black Hawk Down (2001), followed by roles in Star Trek: Nemesis (2002), Dot the i (2003), Simon: An English Legionnaire (2003), and LD 50 Lethal Dose (2003). He also established a stage career, winning the London Evening Standard Theatre Award for Outstanding Newcomer in 2003 for Blood and In Arabia We’d All Be Kings, and earning an Olivier Award nomination in 2004. His early television work included The Virgin Queen (2005) and A for Andromeda.
Hardy continued with television and film roles including Stuart: A Life Backwards (2007), Oliver Twist (2007), WΔZ (2008), RocknRolla (2008), and Bronson (2008). In 2009, he starred in The Take and Wuthering Heights, followed by stage work in The Long Red Road (2010). His breakthrough in major studio films came with Inception (2010), leading to roles in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2011) and Warrior (2011). He went on to star in This Means War (2012), The Dark Knight Rises (2012), and Lawless (2012), establishing himself as a leading actor in Hollywood.
In the following years, Hardy appeared in Locke (2013), The Drop (2014), and joined the television series Peaky Blinders (2014– ). In 2015, he starred in Child 44, Mad Max: Fury Road, Legend, and The Revenant, earning an Academy Award nomination for the latter. He also appeared in Dunkirk (2017) and co-created and starred in the series Taboo (2017). Hardy continued his film career with Venom (2018), Capone (2020), and reprised his role in Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021) and Venom: The Last Dance (2024).
More recently, Hardy has taken on projects including Havoc (2025) and the television series MobLand (2025). He has also been attached to upcoming projects such as a biopic of Ernest Shackleton, the crime thriller 77 Blackout (2024), and a film based on Unreasonable Behaviour.
