He was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, raised in Carteret, New Jersey and was the son of the late Zolton J. and Florence Slesarik Yuhasz. He attended Trinity University in Dallas, Texas and he received a Bachelor’s degree at Maryville College in Maryville, Tennessee. Steven was the Youth Programs Director, School of the Performing Arts at Proctors, Schenectady, and Executive Director for the Schenectady Symphony Orchestra. He was in Broadway cast of Zorba 1983 Revival and Peter Pan, 1979 Revival. He directed and produced on and off Broadway in numerous productions. He died on July 5, 2023.
