The ECA showcased 10 winning short films, selected from over a hundred submissions. The honorees and their films included Andrew Aiello, Green Cobra; Austin Scott Ahlborg, Lotus; Jason Chau, Sting; Jac Cheairs, KENOBI: A Star Wars Fan Film; Morgan Gardiner, Molly Robber; Eric M. Hurt, Singularity; Allie Schultz, Your Monster; and more.

The International Cinematographers Guild (ICG, IATSE Local 600) will honor cinematographer/director Lawrence Sher,ASC best known for his films The Joker and The Hangover series, with the Distinguished Filmmaker Award, presented by Panavision, at the 2022 Emerging Cinematographer Awards (ECA).

From November 8 to 12, one fellow per day will be featured on the Academy’s YouTube channel, in content including conversations with filmmakers Destin Daniel Cretton, Phil Lord, Our Lady J, Rawson Marshall Thurber and Olivia Wilde. Watch a preview of the conversations now!

The International Cinematographers Guild has named 10 honorees for the 2021 Annual Emerging Cinematographer Awards, spotlighting promising cinematographers and providing crucial exposure needed to succeed in the film and television industry. Due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2020 honorees will roll over to this year's ECA event, which will be held virtually in the fall of 2021.  

The Ojai Film Festival (OFF) honors former ASC President Steven Poster with the 2020 Distinguished Artist Award for Cinematography at a virtual ceremony on Thursday, November 12 at 7 p.m.

Five individuals have been selected as winners of the 2020 Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting competition.

The collection of 10 selected short films will screen at the SVA Theatre, 333 W. 23rd St. in New York on Oct. 27 at 3 p.m. A cocktail reception with the honorees will follow.

The International Cinematographers Guild (ICG, IATSE Local 600) will honor cinematographer John Simmons, ASC, with the ASC Cinematography Mentor Award and journalist Debra Kaufman with the Technicolor William A. Fraker Award at the 2019 Emerging Cinematographer Awards (ECA) Luncheon in the ASC Clubhouse on Friday, October 4, 2019. The ECA premier event will be held on Sunday, October 6, at the Television Academy's Wolf Theatre in the Saban Media Center.

 The International Cinematographers Guild (ICG, IATSE Local 600) Publicists announced winners of its 56th Annual ICG Publicists Awards on Friday, February 22, 2019, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, hosted by Dennis Dugan. CRAZY RICH ASIANS (Warner Bros. Pictures) won the top honors for Best Publicity Campaign for Motion Pictures and THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT - Ryan Aguirre (CBS Television Studios) won the Best Publicity Campaign in Television, both presented by Anna Paquin (Flack). This year's luncheon, which traditionally occurs the week leading up to the Academy Awards®, was chaired by Tim Menkeand co-chaired by Sheryl Main. More than 900 industry leaders attended, including guild members, Hollywood public relations and marketing executives, producers, studio and network executives, celebrities and press.

Steven Poster, ASC, National President of the International Cinematographers Guild, (ICG, IATSE Local 600) has added his voice to the growing industry concern over the Academy's decision to shorten four awards from the live Oscar broadcast, including the cinematography award.

 Greg Berlanti, Emmy®-nominated writer, director and producer, will be named Television Showman of the Year at the 56th Annual International Cinematographers Guild (ICG, IATSE Local 600) Publicists Awards. The Awards, celebrating excellence in publicity and promotion for motion pictures and television programs, returns to the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Friday, February 22, 2019. More than 900 industry leaders are expected to attend this year's luncheon, which traditionally occurs the week leading up to the Academy Awards®.

Legendary actress and author Jamie Lee Curtis will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 56th Annual International Cinematographers Guild (ICG, IATSE Local 600) Publicists Awards celebrating her prolific acting career spanning four decades and still going strong. The awards luncheon returns to the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Friday, February 22, 2019.

Chu, known for his visually stunning blockbuster films including Crazy Rich Asians, will receive the Motion Picture Showman of the Year Award at the 56th Annual International Cinematographers Guild (ICG, IATSE Local 600) Publicists Awards for his unique contribution to the art of movies. The awards, which traditionally occur the week leading up to the Academy Awards®, will be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Friday, February 22, 2018.

The awards, which traditionally occurs the week leading up to the Academy Awards®, will be presented in the following categories: Motion Picture Showman of the Year, Television Showman of the Year, Lifetime Achievement, Maxwell Weinberg Publicist Award for a Television Campaign and for a Movie Campaign, Les Mason Award for Career Achievement in Publicity, and the Bob Yeager Award for Community Service.
