Robert Foxworth is an American actor with an extensive career in theater, film, and television. He was born on November 1, 1941, in Houston, Texas, and grew up in a family of lawyers. However, Foxworth's passion for acting led him to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.

Foxworth began his acting career in the theater, performing in numerous productions on and off-Broadway. In 1969, he made his Broadway debut in the play "Henry IV, Part I," which earned him critical acclaim and opened doors for him in the industry. He went on to star in several other Broadway productions, including "The Crucible," "Love Letters," and "Judgment at Nuremberg."

In addition to his work on stage, Foxworth has also made a name for himself in film and television. He has appeared in numerous movies, including "Damien: Omen II," "The Black Marble," and "Prophecy." He has also made guest appearances on popular television shows like "The West Wing," "Law & Order," and "The Practice."

One of Foxworth's most notable roles on television was his portrayal of Chase Gioberti on the hit series "Falcon Crest." He played the character for six seasons and became a fan favorite. His performance earned him a Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Actor in a Leading Role.
