OBSESSED, The Story of Diane Warren...so far, a new musical based on the incredible life of one of the most famous and successful songwriters of all time, is in development.

The Ptaszynski Producer will work alongside Mountview's Artistic Director to produce around 25 musicals and plays across Mountview's theatres, and be supported in their professional development with an industry mentor, industry placements and shadowing.

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that André Ptaszynski, British theatre producer and board member at the National Theatre, has died at age 66.

Andrew Lloyd Webber has today announced that the New London Theatre is to be renamed in honour of the trailblazing choreographer Dame Gillian Lynne. The theatre will be formally recognized as the Gillian Lynne Theatre later this year and will be the first West End theatre to be named after a woman.

Tony Award winner Billy Crudup begins performances tomorrow in the Vineyard Theatre production of Harry Clarke, produced by Audible Inc., the world's largest producer and provider of downloadable audiobooks and other spoken-word entertainment. Harry Clarke is written by Obie Award winner David Cale (Lillian) and directed by Tony Award nominee Leigh Silverman (Violet).

Due to demand, The New Group has announced a three-week extension for Jerry Springer - The Opera, with Matt McGrath appearing as Jerry Springer beginning March 13.  Terrence Mann, currently appearing in the role of Jerry Springer, plays his final performance March 11 due to an existing commitment beyond that date.

Joining from KOKO in Camden where he has spent the last 11 years, Mike has vast experience in the live music industry. As well as his extensive venue background, he has also been involved in Glastonbury and V Festivals. Earlier in his career Mike specialised in opening new restaurants in London.

The 24 Hour Plays on Broadway announced today that a limited number of $99 tickets are available for year's highly anticipated performance, in collaboration with the theatre ticket app TodayTix. This year's event takes place October 30th, beginning at 8:00pm at the American Airlines Theater in Times Square.

Really Useful Theatres Group announced today that Jules Arnott will be joining the company as Marketing & Communications Director on 30th October 2017.

Full casting has been announced for the West End transfer of Everybody's Talking About Jamie, directed by Jonathan Butterell and written by Dan Gillespie Sells and Tom MacRae, which will play a limited season at the Apollo Theatre from Monday 6 November following a critically acclaimed run at Sheffield Crucible.

Vanessa will also be responsible for identifying new partners for the group to help develop the overall experience across the portfolio.
