Japan Society Presents GETTING LOST Staged Reading Tonight
Japan Society presents a staged reading of Getting Lost by Japanese playwright Shiro Maeda, directed by New York-based theater artist Dan Safer. As part of Japan Society's 60th Anniversary Performing Arts Season, Getting Lost marks the 10th installment of the Society's annual Play Reading Series of contemporary Japanese plays in English translation. The Play Reading Series reflects a continued commitment to introduce the wide range of contemporary Japanese plays to American audiences, seeding possibilities for development of American productions of Japanese plays. This event takes place tonight, Monday, March 31 at 7:30 PM at Japan Society (333 East 47th Street).

Mee, Witness Relocation will apply its unique, pop-culture dance/theater style to a play that crams all of human history into one day, reflecting on the pain of life and the perennial elation of falling in love. La Mama E.T.C. will present the work's world premiere tonight, April 4 to 21 in its Ellen Stewart Theater, directed and choreographed by Dan Safer.

Summerstage Theater Closes FIVE DAYS IN MARCH 8/24
SummerStage has announced the continuation of their first theater season with Five Days in March, written by Toshiki Okada, translated by Aya Ogawa and performed by Witness Relocation. This show is a part of SummerStage's summer-long FREE theater program and will take place on Monday, August 23 and Tuesday, August 24 at East River Park, Manhattan at 8:00 p.m.
