Diane Warren will be honored with the prestigious Johnny Mercer Award at the 2024 Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Gala in New York City on June 13, 2024. Other notable inductees include Hillary Lindsey, Timbaland, and R.E.M. The award reflects whose body of work upholds the gold standard set by the legendary Johnny Mercer.

The release comes on the heels of their reissue of their Colin Newman produced album “If I Die, I Die”, which came out in early 2023, and arrives via BMG on 3LP and 2CD, alongside a media and artbook, new sleeve notes, remastered audio, and brand-new remixes from the band's theatrical, award-winning frontman Gavin Friday, and Apparition.

The Chats have been touring throughout 2022 playing in front of huge crowds across many countries and are now proud to embark on their 2023 UK tour dates with a headline show at Brixton’s 02 Academy in London - their largest show to date. Next year’s tour will also visit venues in Ireland, France, Belgium, Sweden, and Norway.

'Here's the Ghost'' was a true collaborative effort between the band's Mike Law and the collective of producers Gary Atturio (Psychic TV, Belle Mare), Grady Walker and Nick Krill  (The War On Drugs, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah), who worked on the album at Law's studio, The Civil Defense. 

Los Angeles-based indie rock band Near Beer — Joey Siara (vocals, guitar), Brent Stranathan (drums), Jeremy Levy (bass, backup vocals) — have shared a brand new single entitled 'Yelling at a Dog.' It comes off their self-titled album. The band describes the album as a set of 'mini-anthems about insomnia, drinking, and human connection.'
