Ovation, America's only arts network, has announced the premiere date for the third season of Frankie Drake Mysteries. The new season will premiere on Ovation on Saturday, April 4th at 7pm ET / 4pm PT, promising a slate of new adventures as the ladies of Drake Private Detectives take on more challenging cases and face off against some impressive foes.

The Dolly music you love, the stories you've been waiting for. Dolly Parton's Heartstrings is an anthology series that showcases the stories, memories, and inspirations behind her most beloved songs. New and classic Dolly music will score every episode. Each story will vary in tone, from love stories and inspirational tales to family dramas, westerns, and revenge comedies. 

Evermore Theatre Company is pleased to announce that Rebecca Liddiard (Frankie Drake Mysteries, Alias Grace) and Peter Keleghan (Workin' Moms, Murdoch Mysteries) have joined the Toronto premiere production of Dry Powder.

Kathleen Turner, Ginnifer Goodwin, and Kyle Bornheimer have been cast in the episode of  'Dolly Parton's Heartstrings' titled 'These Old Bones,' according to Variety.  

Critically acclaimed detective drama Frankie Drake Mysteries continues to enthrall viewers worldwide as Ovation, America's only arts network, signs U.S. broadcast rights to two seasons (21 x 60'). Ovation joins a host of international broadcasters that have signed the brand new second season - which debuts at MIPCOM 2018 as part of leading global distributor Kew Media Distribution's new drama slate.

On Her Shoulders is pleased to present a staged reading of Mary Jane's Pa by Edith Ellis, directed by Melissa Attebery on Thursday, June 14, 2018. Doors open at 6:45pm for a 7:00pm start with The Play in Context by Melody Brooks, who situates the script in its historical time and place, followed by the reading and a post-performance Q&A with refreshments. TheatreLAB is proud to introduce their newest program, BlackList. Conceived by TheatreLAB CompanyArtist, Mary Shaw, and co-created by local theatre favorite, Carolyn Meade, BlackList celebrates the African American voice. By spotlighting the individual works of an influential artist, BlackList will shed light on the stories of those who have been otherwise cast in the dark. BlackList is a platform for communication about African American Artistry and its place in our shared American experience. For the inaugural celebration, BlackList will showcase August Wilson alongside the 10-year anniversary of his death.

Award-winning stage and screen actress Fiona Shaw returns to Broadway tonight, April 22, for the opening of The Testament of Mary, by the acclaimed author Colm Toibin, directed by Deborah Warner. The production will run for a twelve-week limited engagement through Sunday, June 16, at the Walter Kerr Theatre. Let's see what the critics had to say...
