Actors Co-op (Ovation Winner 2018 Best Direction of a Musical - Intimate Theatre) is proud to present Charles Ludlam's The Mystery of Irma Vep - A Penny Dreadful, directed by Carla Cackowski, produced by Carly Lopez. This hilarious two-actor, multi-character comedic thriller is a nod to the classic Gothic melodramas and early fright flicks of the 30s and 40s. The play will run October 4 through November 10 at the Actors Co-op Crossley Theatre in Hollywood

La MaMa's wildly popular family series LA MAMA KIDS returns this season with a line-up of Family Friendly productions and workshops from artists.

Over 50 productions of local and international artists will visit the stages of La MaMa during the 2017-2018 season. The Tenant's Association of the Chelsea Hotel presents a rare screening of Andy Warhol's 1966 masterpiece, Chelsea Girls, introduced by poet and Warhol superstar Rene Ricard, tonight, May 1, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at the Anthology Film Archives, located at 32 Second Avenue at 2nd Street NYC. The legendary Mario Montez, one of the most well-known and beloved figures of New York's underground film and theater scene of the 1960s and 1970s, will make a very rare personal appearance at Museum of the Moving Image, on Sunday, November 13, at 6:30 p.m., as part of the day-long program 'Mario Montez, Superstar.'

To Save and Project, MoMA's international film preservation festival, celebrates its ninth year with gloriously preserved masterworks and rediscoveries of world cinema. This year's festival comprises over 35 films from 14 countries, virtually all of them having their New York premieres, with some shown in versions never before seen in the United States. Guest presenters include Douglas Crimp, Joe Dante, Walter Hill, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Elaine May, Mario Montez, Thelma Schoonmaker, and Martin Scorsese, and highlights include films by Roger Corman, Forugh Farrokhzad, George Kuchar, Claude Lanzmann, Alberto Lattuada, Louis Malle, Agnes Martin, Georges Méliès, Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger, Jean Rouch, Raúl Ruiz, and Seijun Suzuki.

The Museum of Modern Art will present To Save and Project: The Ninth MoMA International Festival of Film Preservation, the annual festival of preserved and restored films from archives, studios, and distributors around the world, from October 14 through November 19, 2011.
