MusicalFare will present SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM On the Premier Cabaret Stage June 2 – June 18, 2023.

The Buffalo Institute for Contemporary Art and Starring Buffalo are excited to present Color and Light, an exhibition in the lobby of Sheas 710 Theater that will accompany Starring Buffalo's production of Sunday in the Park with George. The exhibition takes the characters, songs, and script of the acclaimed musical as a point of departure and connection between works by contemporary artists.

Tony Award Nominee Josh Young and five-time Broadway actress Emily Padgett will lead Starring Buffalo's SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE, presented in Starring Buffalo's signature staged concert format June 10 at 7:30pm and June 11 at 2pm and 7:30pm at Shea's 710 Theatre.

Second Generation Theatre is back on stage at the Shea's Smith with the company's first in-person production since Artie-nominated THE TOXIC AVENGER (2019). 

Second Generation Theatre (SGT) presents the company's first full digital production, the Jason Robert Brown musical SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD on demand this June. This unique production highlights four of Buffalo's finest performers and over twelve locations.

As Second Generation Theatre nears the end of the 2020-2021 “season,” they have assembled a diverse and fantastic group of performers to participate in MISCAST:ONLINE 2021. The 15 performers are all SGT alum or artists cast in upcoming SGT shows and are getting the chance to sing things that they normally wouldn't.

Second Generation Theatre has announced its return to the Shea's Smith Theater for the 2020/2021 theatre season. SGT's season will include the compelling romantic drama Constellations, the musical revue Songs for a New World, and the professional regional premiere of the musical The Secret Garden.

Are you ready for Christmas? Well the Rialto Community Arts Center in Morrilton has the show that will jump start your holiday season into high gear with North Pole's Got Talent. Written by Lavinia Roberts, this holiday spin off brings the inhabitants of the North Pole to compete for a 'super secret surprise,' including the elves, reindeer, Jack Frost and the Snow Queen. Director Casey Myers has brought together a true community cast for this production ranging from age one to folks in their golden years. This blend includes children, teachers, a doctor, and many others all sharing the Rialto stage bringing holiday cheer to the attendees of the show.

When blind date newbie Aaron is set up with serial-dater Casey, a casual drink at a busy New York restaurant turns into a hilarious high-stakes dinner. As the date unfolds in real time, the couple quickly finds that they are not alone on this unpredictable evening when other restaurant patrons transform into supportive best friends, manipulative exes and protective parents, who sing and dance them through ice-breakers, appetizers and potential conversational land mines. Can this couple turn what could be a dating disaster into something special before the check arrives?

The new comedy will play nine performances at the Hudson Backstage Theatre - Sunday 6/9 at 7pm; Friday 6/21 at 8:30pm; Saturday 6/22 at 2pm & 6:30pm; Sunday 6/23 at 2pm; Friday 6/28 at 8:30pm; Saturday 6/29 at 2pm & 6:30pm; Sunday 6/30 at 2pm. Running time will be 75 minutes.

Intelligent, engaging and well cast theatre has returned to the former Studio Arena theatre with MusicalFare's fine production of FUN HOME. The space may now be called by a different name, Shea's 710 Theatre, but those floor boards have been tread by ingenious predecessors who forged new works worthy of discussion and revelations in the 1960's and 70's. FUN HOME fits perfectly into the space physically and dramatically, challenging the audience with concepts of fidelity, sexuality and escapism.
