Theatre credits include: Alphonsine in The Rwandan Testimonies (World Music) (Donmar Warehouse), Edna Mitchell in Waiting For Lefty (BAC) and Swing/Understudy for Shenzi and Rafiki in The Lion King (Lyceum Theatre). In 2006, she appeared in Trevor Nunn's acclaimed musical production of the Gershwins' Porgy and Bess (Savoy Theatre), and other theatre roles include Pat in Catalysta at the (Oval House Theatre), alongside Carmen Munroe and Angela Wynter, and Mrs Phelps in Matilda The Musical (Cambridge Theatre).

She appeared as part of the original London cast of Ghost the Musical, which, after a world premiere run in Manchester, opened in the West End 19 July 2011. Phillip originated the role of Clara in the production, as well as understudying Sharon D. Clarke in the principal role of Oda Mae Brown. She has had many opportunities to play Oda Mae, most notably when Clarke suffered a minor knee injury and was away for seven weeks, Phillip shared the role with Da'Vine Joy Randolph.

Phillips has also appeared in the British Christmas tradition of pantomime in consecutive years since 2015 with appearances including Ashcroft Theatre, Croydon; Lyceum Theatre, Sheffield; and the Alban Arena.

Top television presenter Stephen Mulhern stars in the production at the Canterbury venue, which runs from Friday 25 November to Sunday 8 January. Stephen is a regular on our screens in programmes such as The Next Great Magician, Go For It!, Catchphrase, Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, Britain's Got Talent and Big Star's Little Star. He is also co-presenter of Heart FM's Sunday morning show (with Emma Willis).

West End's MATILDA Will Welcome New Children to Cast


Now in its fifth year in London's West End, the Royal Shakespeare Company's award-winning production of Matilda The Musical has announced that Zaris-Angel Hator, Clara Read and Emily-May Stephenson are to join Evie Hone in the title role from 15 March 2016.

TV: Craige Els Announced as New 'Miss Trunchbull' in West End's MATILDA


Capturing the imagination of young and old alike, the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Roald Dahl's Matilda The Musical continues to play to packed houses at the Cambridge Theatre in London. Matilda has now been seen by almost 1.5million people since it transferred to the West End in October 2011. The production was commissioned by the RSC and played to sold-out audiences at the RSC's The Courtyard Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon for twelve weeks from November 2010 to January 2011. Tickets are now on sale until Sunday 24 May 2015.

From 3 September 2013, James Clyde will join the adult company in London as Mr Wormwood, Lisa Davina Phillip as Mrs Phelps and Joshua Wyatt as Michael Wormwood. As previously announced, they will join Olivier Award nominated Canadian actor Alex Gaumond in the role of Miss Trunchbull and Kay Murphy as Mrs Wormwood.

As Ghost The Musical enters its second year, over 250,000 new tickets go on sale today (28 March 2012) taking bookings at the Piccadilly Theatre to 20 April 2013. Having been seen by over 400,000 people, Ghost The Musical is now also playing on Broadway, with further productions planned for Holland in September 2012, Australia and Germany in 2013 and Korea in 2014.

Siobhan Dillon and Mark Evans to Join Cast of West End's GHOST


Siobhan Dillon and Mark Evans are to join the cast of Ghost The Musical to play Molly and Sam in Matthew Warchus' stage musical version of the Academy Award® winning film. Ghost The Musical opened at the Piccadilly Theatre in the West End in June this year where it has subsequently been playing to packed houses. Siobhan Dillon and Mark Evans join Sharon D Clarke as Oda Mae Brown and Andrew Langtree as Carl who continue in the roles they originated on stage when the production premiered. Ghost The Musical is currently booking until 13 October 2012
