RSC Celebrates New Leadership, JULIUS CAESAR and MATILDA in NY This Spring

With a new leadership team of Gregory Doran, Artistic Director, and Catherine Mallyon, Executive Director, at the helm, the Royal Shakespeare Company returns to New York this spring with two productions, Julius Caesar and Matilda the Musical. Both began their lives at the RSC's Stratford-upon-Avon home and reflect the Company's continuing commitment to Shakespeare and the work of contemporary playwrights and theatre artists, as it celebrates one hundred years of touring work from Shakespeare's birthplace to the US. STAGE TUBE: MATILDA Cast Performs Medley at Royal Variety Performance!

Currently playing at London's Cambridge Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company production of Matilda the Musical is Broadway-bound in 2013. Matilda the Musical begins performances on March 4 and opens on April 11 2013 at the Shubert Theatre (235 West 44th Street). The Royal Shakespeare Company and The Dodgers today announced the casting of the title role in the RSC's eagerly anticipated Broadway-bound musical Matilda the Musical. Each of the four girls will play the role at difference performances: Sophia Gennusa, Oona Laurence, Bailey Ryon and Milly Shapiro. Each girl will be making her Broadway debut. (more...)

MATILDA Extends Through December 2013 in UK; New Block of Tickets On-Sale Tomorrow

At 11am tomorrow, 400,000 tickets will go on sale for 2013 for the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Matilda the Musical. The record-breaking production, now booking through until 22 December next year, continues to play to packed houses at London's Cambridge Theatre. (more...)

Annette McLaughlin Joins Cast of MATILDA from Tonight, Aug 21

Annette McLaughlin will join the company of Matilda as Mrs Wormwood from today, 21 August 2012. She will play alongside Haley Flaherty and Steve Furst, who have recently joined the Company as Miss Honey and Mr Wormwood.
