The  sold-out and highly acclaimed BAM production of Lorraine Hansberry’s The Sign in Sidney Brustein’s Window, starring Oscar Isaac (making his Broadway debut) and Rachel Brosnahan, will transfer to Broadway this season.

Laugh It Up, Stare It Down, a new play written by Alan Hruska and directed by Chris Eigeman, will conclude its limited engagement on Oct. 10, BroadwayWorld has confirmed. The production began it's limited engagement on August 26th with opening night held September 9th.

Colt Coeur's Play Hotel reading series will present a free staged reading of Need to Know, by Jon Caren, directed by Adrienne Campbell-Holt, Sunday May 10th at 6pm at SoHo House in Manhattan. The cast for the reading includes Katya Campbell (Disgraced, Broadway), Michael Cyril Creighton (Stage Kiss, Playwrights Horizons), and Michael Esper (The Last Ship, Broadway). The event is hosted by Sam Goldberg.

Celia Keenan-Bolger (The Glass Menagerie) will join Adrienne Campbell-Holt (Dry Land, Colt Coeur), Genesis Oliver (Everything is Ours, Colt Coeur), Matt Stadelmann (SEVEN MINUTES IN HEAVEN, Colt Coeur), Katya Campbell (How to Make Friends and then Kill Them, Rattlestick) and other Colt Coeur company members in a performance of new plays by Brooklyn public school students ages 11 to 15.

Thanks to the generous support of the Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation Brooklyn-based theatre company Colt Coeur (Dry Land by Ruby Rae Spiegel, Everything is Ours, by Nikole Beckwith) has commissioned playwright Amelia Roper to create an original play over the next year, with an eye towards production in the company's 2015-2016 season.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, the Pulitzer Prize winning play Disgraced by Ayad Akhtar will play its final Broadway performance on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the Lyceum Theatre, 149 West 45th Street. As of that date, it will have played 149 performances and 27 previews. In addition to the Pulitzer Prize, Disgraced received Obie and Joseph Jefferson Awards. Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, presents the Berkshire premiere of Sharr White's The Other Place, starring Emmy Award-winner and Golden Globe nominee Marg Helgenberger. Directed by BSC Associate Artist Christopher Innvar, The Other Place runs now through June 14 on the St. Germain Stage.
