Alice Ripley, Marc Shaiman, Kate Baldwin, Sally Struthers & More Join Forestburgh Playhouse's DIAMOND DELIRIUM Virtual Gala

Celebrating its 75th Anniversary as “The Miracle of the Forest,” Forestburgh Playhouse will present DIAMOND DELIRIUM, a virtual party and fundraiser, to be streamed on Wednesday, February 24. The evening kicks off at 6:30PM with a VIP Pre-Show Cocktail Party hosted by FB Playhouse alum Morgan James and Nicholas Rodriguez.

This first-ever collaboration by the pair who have been partners for many years also marks the debut of the Joe Goode Performance Group venturing into producing and presenting outside artists. Girl is the drag-inflected culmination of Fauxnique and electronic musician Kate's longtime fascination with pairing intellectual rigor and critical theory to popular entertainment forms they adore-including music, contemporary dance and film-and letting fly with provocative and even thrilling results; among other elements and questions, Girl will deftly mine the "final girl" horror movie trope as an investigative tool, all as Halloween and the November mid-terms converge on the horizon. 

Robin Sokoloff to Present Two New Plays & New York Launch of THE EASY HOUR

Robin Sokoloff and The Schulberts will present the newest musical by the writing/producing duo Charlie Schulman & Michael Roberts, GOLDSTEIN, directed by Christopher Scott. The musical, which is aimed for an Off-Broadway production, will be presented on Monday, June 13th at 7pm at Loft227 (227 W 29th Street).

Now in its 16th season, Lincoln Center's acclaimed series American Songbook continues to expand its scope celebrating the best in American singing and songwriting. Featured over the weekend was revered composer, lyricist, and librettist Michael John LaChiusa- returning to American Songbook after his triumphant debut a decade ago. Known for his acclaimed Tony-nominated musicals Marie Christine and The Wild Party, his recent epic musical adaptation of Giant flourished at the Public Theater. Steven Maler, Founding Artistic Director of Commonwealth Shakespeare Company and Associate Artistic Director, Adam Sanders, will direct with Boston Landmark Orchestra's Music Director Christopher Wilkins, conducting. The free event will be held tonight, August 21st at 7:00PM at DCR's Hatch Shell on the Esplanade.
