Julia Suriano BIO
Julia Suriano, earned her Bachelor of Music Degree from Manhattan School of Music in classical voice performance. Regional: Maria in West Side Story (The Fireside Theatre, Interlakes Theatre), Magnolia in Show Boat (Interlakes Theatre), Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady (Interlakes Theatre), Cosette in Les Misérables (Red Mountain Theatre Company) and has performed as a principal singer in An Evening With Sir Tim Rice with Belinda King Creative Productions onboard the Seabourn Encore.
Suriano has also performed in various concerts in the ensemble with The New York Philharmonic at Avery Fisher Hall, as a Soprano Scholar at the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine, and as a soprano soloist at The Kennedy Center.
Suriano is a two-time ASCAP award winner for “Excellence and promise in musical theatre”

You're not in Kansas anymore Toto, you're at The Starlight Theatre in Kansas City for the opening night of THE WIZARD OF OZ. Based on the 1939 film classic, THE WIZARD OF OZ opened on Monday, June 10 and runs through Sunday, June 16. Philip Wm. McKinley directs his 13th production with Starlight Theatre, an accomplishment which was celebrated before the program began.'

BWW Review: The Fireside Takes On WEST SIDE STORY
It's Romeo and Juliet with dancing, knives, and a taste for Americana. West Side Story, the nearly 60 year old Broadway musical, is deeply rooted in the musical theatre canon. A tale of two young lovers, separated by opposing street gangs explores dated (though still incredibly relevant) social stigmas outlined by ethnicity and socioeconomic status. The show is well known, beloved, and has several incredibly memorable musical numbers. So when a theatre company takes on this particular production, they also take on the reputation that precedes it - which is often more of a challenge than the show itself.
