San Antonio's original Latinx film festival returns on Tuesday, July 11 through Sunday, July 16, 2023, at the historic Guadalupe Theater with a greater than-ever Texas filmmaker presence. Featuring 114 films, including 38 films from San Antonio and 40 films from the Lone Star State, the 44th CineFestival San Antonio continues to support local and regional filmmakers, while offering a well-rounded program to local audiences that also includes national and international films that highlight artistic excellence and diversity.  

The nation's original and longest-running Latino film festival returns in the summer of 2023 with the 44th edition of CineFestival San Antonio. Presented by the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center, San Antonio's annual celebration of independent Latino cinema will take place July 12-16, 2023, at the historic Guadalupe Theater in San Antonio's Westside.  

On Friday, June 17, radio's It's Showtime with Rikki Lee will feature an interview with Metropolis Performing Arts Centre's new artistic director Robert Gretta, along with executive director Brookes Ebetsch who joined the company in February 2020.

The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center has announced a weekend of festivities to celebrate the Guadalupe Dance Company's 30th Anniversary accompanied by Mariachi Azteca de América on Friday and Saturday, October 1 and 2, 2021 at 8pm. 

On Friday September 3, Brookes Ebetsch, Executive Operations Director of Metropolis Performing Arts Center, will join radio host Rikki Lee Travolta on 101.5 FM to discuss the theater company's 2021-2022 season.

There are 89 Oscar nominees, including 25 winners, among the invitees.

In anticipation of the 30th Anniversary Screening and Cast Reunion of The Five Heartbeats at the Tribeca Film Festival, star Michael Wright will guest on radio's It's Showtime with Rikki Lee on Friday June 4 at 3 PM Central.

You remember The Monkees from 1960's television, but do you remember The New Monkees from the 1980's? Larry Saltis was just a teenager when he was selected from a nationwide casting call to be the lead vocalist and lead guitarist for The New Monkees. The television show produced one highly heralded self-titled album before leaving the air.
