Florida Studio Theatre is saddened to announce the passing of James Ashford, who started out as an Acting Apprentice and went on to become FST's Coordinator of Casting and Hiring.

The Sundance Institute today announced that the FUSION-produced feature documentary Science Fair has won the first-ever Festival Favorite Award, selected by audience votes from the 123 feature films screened at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival.

The Exonerated tells the haunting stories taken from interviews as well as from the actual court transcripts and interviews of forty former death row inmates. All were eventually proven innocent and released after spending as much as twenty two years behind bars.
As one of the largest theatrical events in the world, The New York International Fringe Festival boasts an impressive roster of world premieres yearly. Of them, Los Angeles native Joshua Metzger's new play Sitting Shiva will see its first three dimensional presentation this August. Christopher Scott will direct the 90 minute play. The Broadway and Regional vet cast includes Eddie Boroevich*, Neal Mayer*, and Jeffery Plunkett*. Florida Studio Theatre has now extended five shows in the 2013-14 Mainstage and Cabaret Seasons. The two most recent extensions in the lineup are POEMS, PRAYERS, AND PROMISES which is now playing through April 27, and FREUD'S LAST SESSION which now sees its second extension playing through April 5.
