On Saturday afternoon, September 23, the 91 Annual Feast of San Gennaro will stage two celebrations : the Second Annual Little Italy Meatball Eating Competition in memory of John 'Cha Cha' Ciara, the unofficial Mayor of Little Italy who passed in November 2015. hosted by actor/singer Tony Danza; and the 100th Birthday of Dean Martin. hosted by TV personality Bill Boggs.

The 91st Annual Feast of San Gennaro will celebrate Dean Martin's 100th Birthday with a three hour tribute on today, September 23, from 2 to 5 PM on the Feast Performance Stage at the corner of Grand and Mott Streets in Little Italy.

Gianni Russo best known for his portrayal of Carlo Russo in 'The Godfather' also knows how to do a killer of a music show and helped an important charity save lives at Le Cirque last night.

Tony Danza performed, and Olympia Dukakis was the guest of honor last night at the 27th annual charity event 'Doodle for Hunger' for the benefit of St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters.  The evening was hosted by Fox News Anchor Ernie Anattos, and the celebrity auctioneer was Tony Lo Bianco. 

Gianni Russo, actor/singer best known for his role as Carlo Rizzi in The Godfather headlined an evening of entertainment at the legendary Le Cirque restaurant last night and BroadwayWorld was there.

 Last night at the legendary Le Cirque, Gianni Russo dropped his tough guy image and created a musical fun filled evening.  The Cafe was packed and Gianni with his 4 piece band created a fantastic party as he went through the Sinatra American Songbook. Some of his celebrity friends were "coaxed" by Gianni to join in. Although remembered most for his portrayal of Carlo Rizzi in "The Godfather", his first acting job, his career has spanned over 40 films including such hits as The Freshman, Rush Hour, Any Given Sunday and Sea Biscuit as well as television roles in Kojak, The Rockford Files and Prison Break. And most recent.. due out this fall "Send No Flowers". Russo believes it's his crooning that separates him from the mob of other on-screen wise guys. 

Career Transition For Dancers presents the 10th anniversary LATIN DANCE PARTY tonight, March 24th, 2015 at the beautiful Columbus Citizens Foundation, 8 East 69th Street (off Fifth Avenue), New York, New York 10021. Ernest Lepore, co-owner and Executive Chef of Little Italy's world famous Ferrara Cafe & Bakery, predicted he would create the World's Largest Cannolo and this past Saturday, September 20, 2014, he did it! Weighing in at a record 348 pounds and measuring 12 feet in length, the "Ferrara IL GRANDE CANNOLO was introduced at 3 PM in front of a crowd of thousands of astounded onlookers attending the final weekend of NYC's 88th Annual Feast of San Gennaro.

The 88th Annual Feast of San Gennaro, New York City's longest-running, biggest and most revered religious outdoor festival, will begin today, September 11 and continue through Sunday, September 21, 2014, The Feast is held annually on the streets of historic Little Italy, the lower Manhattan neighborhood which served as the first home in America for many thousands of Italian immigrants seeking a better life in the early years of the 20th century.
