Elliot Finkel and Dave Konig are developing a new musical, The King of the Bronx. Written during the pandemic, King of the Bronx is a new musical based on Dave Konig's paintings about New Yorkers going through 'the darkness' and coming out the other side.

The comedy and musicianship displayed by comic/actor Dave Konig and music director Elliot Finkel in Don’t Tell Mama last night was reminiscent of the glory days of Borscht Belt Hotels. 

In celebration of New York opening up again, Dave Konig, with Elliot Finkel, is bringing real LIVE entertainment back for two special nights. After a long year of quiet stages, they decided to bring their intimate show to the historic cabaret theatre, Don't Tell Mama, to give audiences a chance to celebrate life - and comedy - returning to NYC!

The Finkel Brothers reunite for a special evening celebrating The Great American Songbook at Don't Tell Mama in New York City on Sunday, November 24. Due to heavy scheduling the two musical virtuosos have been hard to find together on onstage this year. Elliot Finkel recently finished the Grand Hotel concert with John Schneider and Ian Finkel just finished writing and directing the one-person show phenomena, Sophie Tucker in Person featuring Cheryl Ann Allen.

Kicking-off the holiday season, Jill Center & Co. return for a very special presentation of CELEBRATE THE MOMENT on Monday, November 25, 7:00 p.m. at The Laurie Beechman Theater, 407 West 42nd Street.

Choreographer Joanna Rush appeared on Broadway in A CHORUS LINE (also as Sheila in the Los Angeles company), Shirley MacLaine AT THE PALACE starring Shirley MacLaine, in films including The Night They Raided Minsky's, A Killing Affair costarring with O.J. Simpson and Elizabeth Montgomery, and the TV remake of William Inge's Splendor in the Grass, which she also choreographed. Miss Rush currently tours the US in her one-woman show KICK and her newest show, SEX & POWER.

The 1989 Tony Award winning Broadway musical has songs by Robert Wright & George Forrest, book by Luther Davis, and additional music and lyrics by Maury Yeston. The concerts a?' written and directed by Tony nominee Walter Willison, and dedicated to the memory of original Grand Hotel star Liliane Montevecchi a?' will take at The Green Fig, adjacent to The Green Room 42 (570 Tenth Avenue at 42nd Street, on the 4th Floor of Yotel).

Mario Lanza brought Opera to Hollywood and Sean Patrick Murtagh brought Mario Lanza to the Cabaret World at The Green Room 42 last night. Sean's lyric baritone effectively handled the repertoire usually sung by a tenor's voice and brought a distinctive vivacity to the songs usually associated with Mario Lanza and other celebrated tenors. Actually this show was about Mario and Richard (not Tucker). It was a heartfelt tribute to Sean's vocal teacher Richard who first exposed him to the Mario Lanza songbook. With his superior musical theater acting skills and charming personality Sean Patrick Murtagh is an exciting addition to the Cabaret World. Similar to the Metropolitan Opera, The Green Room 42 was full of Bravo's last night and I was thinking 3 Tenors plus 1 great Lyric Baritone would also make a great performance.

Jill Senter and Company will return to The Laurie Beechman Theater, where they played to a capacity crowd in May, in CELEBRATE THE MOMENT: A New Nightclub Revue, written, arranged and conducted by Elliot Finkel with choreography by Joanna Rush and directed by Walter Willison, on Wednesday, July 17th and Wednesday, August 7th, at 7PM.
