In Spring 2019, the Downtown Urban Arts Festival (DUAF) will return for its much-anticipated 17th annual season. Reg E. Gaines, Tony-nominated for Bring in da Noise Bring in da Funk, is back as the Artistic Director of the festival. After his evaluation of scripts that were received from across the U.S., the following writers and their plays were selected as the finalists for the 2019 season.

DRG Records has released the new 2013 Broadway cast recording of Roundabout Theatre Company's critically acclaimed Broadway production of Rupert Holmes' Tony Award-winning musical comedy The Mystery of Edwin Drood, which closed on Broadway yesterday, March 10, at Studio 54 (254 West 54th Street). Cast members performed from the album at the Upper East Side Barnes & Noble (86th & Lexington Ave.) on March 8, joined by Will Chase, Jim Norton, Gregg Edelman and Chita Rivera for a CD signing following the performances. Florida State College at Jacksonville students perform a sneak peek preview of La Caroline: A New Rock Opera before taking the show to France. The show was written by Florida State College professor, playwright and musician Jennifer Chase and plays tonight, June 15, 2012, at 8 p.m. at the Nathan H. Wilson Center for the Arts, located at 11901 Beach Boulevard, Jacksonville, Fla. Admission is free, but donations are welcome (suggested amount: $10).
