David Archuleta has signed a book deal for his memoir with Dey Street Books. The memoir will reveal, for the first time, the truth of his struggles growing up as a devout Mormon, achieving worldwide fame on American Idol, his choice to halt his music career to go on a mission in Chile, and his lifesaving decision to come out and live authentically.

David Rose presents A JERK IN PROGRESS is touring Australia 2023 and will visit Perth, Adelaide, and Melbourne.

Shortly after “American Idol,” David’s first single, “Crush,” debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The track sold more than 2 million digital copies to become double platinum. After hiding out the first half of 2023 masked as the Macaw on the hit show The Masked Singer, singer-songwriter David Archuleta has emerged and is now ready to share new music with the world. Gibney and Lincoln Center are proud to co-present the debut of Sydnie L. Mosley Dances’ PURPLE: A Ritual in Nine Spells, an evening-length choreopoem embodying the power of deep sisterhood for social change through storytelling and movement.

Avant-Garde-Arama Visits The Lace Mill, the latest iteration of a festival of short works of dance, music, performance art and video that originated in the Lower East Side in the '80s, will be coming to Kingston's Lace Mill Gallery.

For spring 2023 Works & Process will present a robust series at the Guggenheim Museum, Lincoln Center, and The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. Programs provide audiences with unprecedented access to creative process blending artist discussions and performance highlights.

This November, Works & Process continues to amplify its support for performing artists and their creative process, producing residencies across New York State and presenting a robust series of programs at the Guggenheim Museum and expanding offerings to Gibney Center, Lincoln Center, and The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, in partnership with the Jerome Robbins Dance Division. Featuring premieres by Les Ballet Afrik, Ephrat Asherie Dance, and Masterz at Work Dance Family; performances by Ladies of Hip-Hop and LayeRhythm Dance Conversation with New York City Club Legends; and additional LaunchPAD 'Process as Destination' residencies.

As a process-focused performing arts organization, Works & Process continued to provide opportunities and fees for artists throughout the pandemic, and pioneered the bubble residency model to support their work safely. The fall 2022 season will feature the official world premieres of works created by New York artists.

The 92nd Street Y, New York Harkness Dance Center has announced the 2022/23 season, anchored by the Mainstage Series. The Mainstage Series features unique performances in one of the art form’s most historic spaces, where audiences witnessed iconic artists including Martha Graham, Alvin Ailey (premiering Revelations), Jose Limón and Pearl Primus.

Lin-Manuel Miranda, James Monroe Iglehart, and more from the cast of Freestyle Love Supreme will unite for a special performance. Broadway’s “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” cast members Jacqueline B. Arnold, Jessica Lee Goldyn, Tasia Jungbauer and Jeigh Madjus will also take the stage. Joaquina Kalukango will sing during the fireworks spectacle.

Sometimes advertising and catch phrases become outdated and are not reflective of the current environment.  Not so with “The Jazz Corner Of The World”.  Birdland is still the rightful possessor of that Charlie Parker quote, and one need have only been in the audience Saturday night to hear Jazz great Alan Broadbent and his trio to understand the legitimacy of that nickname.

Just shy of a year ago which seems crazy to think about now, myself and other patrons sat in the familiar space surrounded by familiar faces to embark on a journey with a group of characters outside our normalcy. Think about that sentence for a minute. Almost a year later and we are still trying to grasp our ideals of what “normalcy” truly means. Nonetheless, the fine staff at Stageworks Theatre in Tampa’s Channelside District opened their doors once more to present an evening of live, socially distanced in person performances to remove our weary minds of the mundane, and help us escape what has now become our new normal. With names delegated on seats socially distanced away from other patrons, and masks donned by staff and audience alike, it had the welcoming feeling of being home once more. Aside from the temperature checks and socially distanced restroom protocols, the welcoming feeling of old and new friends gathering in a familiar place was comforting and much needed. The staff at Stageworks should be commended here for their top-notch protocols in place there was not an uneasy feeling to be had. Producing Artistic Director Karla Hartley welcomed everyone in her speech and with candor and compassion welcomed us back into the doors of a space we all know and love. A beautiful homage to those personally affected...stars have been placed across the front row of the audience which made for a touching tribute in these times.
