Casting has been announced for week one of The Blank Theatre’s 30th Annual Young Playwrights Festival. Being presented as digital shorts, the first three of 12 winning plays by young playwrights aged 15–19 will be available to stream on Vimeo July 8–14.

The Creative Coalition has applauded passage of the American Rescue Plan, which includes $135 million in funding for both the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities. This afternoon, Disney+ made its D23 Expo debut with its first-ever showcase presentation, announcing six new series in development and revealing key details about the highly anticipated streaming service to an enthusiastic audience at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim. The 23rd Annual American Black Film Festival (ABFF) is excited to announce their distinctive 2019 lineup of narrative features, documentaries and short films in competition. Films are set to screen in Miami from June 13-15 at the Regal Cinemas South Beach and the New World Center.

The Actors Fund - the national human services organization that fosters stability and resiliency, and provides a safety net for performing arts and entertainment professionals over their lifespan - announced today that the cast of ABC's SCANDAL will reunite for a one-night-only LIVE staged reading of the highly-anticipated final episode on Thursday, April 19 - the same night the series finale airs on television! All proceeds from this once in a lifetime event will benefit The Actors Fund's programs and services.
