Studio 7Arts presents an evening of 'Rock'N Roll & Debauchery' tonight, April 24th at The Cutting Room beginning at 7PM. The Downtown Urban Theater Festival (DUTF) presents two showcase performances of "A Train" as part of its 10thAnniversary season on Saturday, March 31, 2012, at HERE in SoHo, NYC. A TRAIN, a new work under development by DUTF, is a coming-of-age story about a group of teenagers growing up in modern day NYC. It is directed by Reg E. Gaines, Tony-nominated writer of Bring in da Noise Bring in da Funk, and features the music of Dennis Diamond and Corey Glover, lead singer of the Grammy Award-winning band Living Colour.

Downtown Urban Theater Festival (DUTF) opened on Wednesday, March 14, at HERE Mainstage with an exciting night of theatre featuring DEATH BOOGIE, written by Darian Dauchan. This Hip Hop poetry musical featured the poetic artistry of Dauchan and followed the fictional story of Victor Spartan, a blue collar worker who lives a comatose lifestyle by day and at night, hears the poetic sounds of revolution. It was directed by Jennifer McGrath with music accompaniment by The Mighty Third Rail and illustrations by David Ayllon.
