The film, an extension of the wildly successful IMPRACTICAL JOKERS series, was directed by Chris Henchy (Daddy's Home, 'Eastbound & Down'). A truTV original production and produced by Funny Or Die, Impractical Jokers: The Movie carries a suggested retail price of $19.99 for the Digital ($24.99 in Canada) and is rated PG-13.

truTV has announced the theatrical release date for its first-ever feature-length film, Impractical Jokers: The Movie, directed by Chris Henchy (Daddy's Home, Eastbound & Down) and produced by Funny or Die. Opening in select theaters nationwide on Friday, February 21, 2020, the film stars James “Murr” Murray, Brian “Q” Quinn, Joe Gatto, and Sal Vulcano, also known as the comedy troupe The Tenderloins. An extension of the wildly successful Impractical Jokers series, currently in its eighth season on truTV and ranking as a top three original cable comedy, the film follows the four lifelong friends and comedians whose hilariously outrageous hidden-camera dares and mischief have created one of cable's longest-running original comedies.

The hour-long finale will be taped in front of a live studio audience at the St. George Theatre in their hometown of Staten Island, New York. The four guys - Joe Gatto, James 'Murr' Murray, Brian 'Q' Quinn and Sal Vulcano, collectively known as the comedy troupe The Tenderloins - will thrill the audience with holiday-themed games and compete to determine who will make the best Santa. The episode will also include the hair-raising final punishment of the season that's almost too much for the Jokers to bear. Turner's truTV continues to bolster its growing roster of wholly-owned, original comedies as the network today unveiled its 2018-19 programming slate ahead of next week's 2018 Turner Upfront event at Madison Square Garden. The cable network, which since 2014 has transformed into a premium destination for a wide range of distinct, creator-driven scripted, unscripted and hybrid series, announced the greenlight of Tacoma FD (working title), a new scripted series from Super Troopers' Kevin Heffernan and Steve Lemme about a fire department in the wettest city in America. Also joining the slate are two new pilots - a comedic medical advice show created by Ken Jeong and an animated project from Jo Koy, which are currently in development. The network has also expanded its portfolio of existing original series, with new seasons of ADAM RUINS EVERYTHING and Hack My Life, along with an additional episode order for freshman series Laff Mobb's Laff Tracks.
