Quantum Theatre presents King Lear, widely regarded as Shakespeare's greatest tragedy, directed by Risher Reddick at Carrie Blast Furnaces National Historic Landmark May 10th - June 2nd.

Daughters of Troy is currently developing The Persephone Project on Governors Island in New York through Barton Booth's MAKE ROOM initiative. This year's  residency explores female sexuality and desire through the lens of the Persephone myth. An exhibition of artwork inspired by the themes will be open to the public on Saturday, Sept. 2 and Sunday, Sept. 3 from 10a-6pm, along with free performances of the theatrical works-in-progress at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm at Building 8A in Nolan Park on Governors Island.

Moses, present Noel Coward's uproarious comedy, Private Lives, which performs on the Stark Stage from January 31 - February 19, 2017. Private Lives is sponsored by Bobbie Olsen and Riverside Theatre's Patron Producers Group.

Daughters of Troy announces an expansion of their interdisciplinary project which began earlier this year at an artist residency on Governors Island. The one night performance of mostly new theatrical works-in-progress will take place at Dixon Place on November 21st at 7:30pm.

The Archive Residency, a collaboration between New Ohio Theatre and IRT Theater (likeminded neighbors in the historic Archive Building in the West Village), is a unique incubator for New York City's most promising emerging independent theater companies. Honest Accomplice Theatre's THE BIRDS & THE BEES: UNABRIDGED is currently on tour in the greater New York City area to build on the success of their NYC productions at University Settlement.  THE BIRDS & THE BEES: UNABRIDGED explores the unique -- yet interwoven -- life circumstances of eight women & trans people forced to confront their own sexuality, realizing that sexuality itself is not simple or clear-cut.  Through dialogue, movement, song, humor, and multimedia, the performance examines such themes as partner communication, sexual identity, the de-sexualization of aging women, today's "hook-up" culture, and sexual health.

The next Revelation Reading, Euripides' HIPPOLYTOS, directed by Ted Pappas with Olympia Dukakis, Laila Robins, Robert Cuccioli, Clifton Duncan, Gina Daniels, Phillipe Bowgen, Catherine Gowl, Lara Hillier, January LaVoy, Deanne Lorette, Bhavesh Patel, Jean Tafler, and Edward James Hyland, will take place Monday, February 16th at Cherry Lane Theatre, 38 Commerce Street.

On the heels of Memorial Day, Broadway Across America - Houston is presenting the First US National Tour of the acclaimed play WAR HORSE. The visually spectacular production first premiered on London's Off-West End in the Olivier Theatre at the National Theatre. It transferred to the West End's New London Theatre, where it is still running. It enjoyed Broadway success at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre at New York City's Lincoln Center. It has since been produced in Canada, Australia, and Germany. After seeing this tour, it is no surprise that everywhere the play goes, it leaves tear-soaked audiences speechless and amazed.

Producers Bob Boyett and The National Theatre of Great Britain have announced full casting for the upcoming Providence engagement of the 2011 Tony Award-winning Best Play, WAR HORSE. The company, comprised of more than 30 performers, includes Alex Morf as Albert Narracott, Brian Keane as Arthur Narracott, Michael Wyatt Cox as Billy Narracott, Todd Cerveris as Ted Narracott, Angela Reed as Rose Narracott, Jason Loughlin as Lieutenant James Nicholls, and Mat Hostetler as Private Schnabel.
