A PARTY AT THE CROSSROADS to Play The Black Box Theater in April
'A PARTY at the CROSSROADS: A Post-Modernist's Cabaret' is a work of adult-oriented storytelling theater with original soul, blues and jazz music; written and performed by Mwalim (with a little help from his friends), directed by The ZYG 808. The show will run at Cotuit Center for the Arts in the Vivian and Morton Sigel Black Box theater from April 6 - 23, with Thursday, Friday and Saturday shows at 7:30pm and Sunday shows at 2pm.
Classic Albums Live To Perform ACDC's BACK IN BLACK Track-by-Track At The Lincoln in April
ack in Black (1980) was legendary rock group ACDC's sixth international studio album but the first to feature Brian Johnson as lead singer following the death of previous lead singer Bon Scott. Classic Albums Live performs the 25x Platinum album in its entirety, note-for-note and cut-for-cut, including megahits “Hells Bells,” “You Shook Me All Night Long,” “Shoot to Thrill,” and of course, title song “Back in Black.”
BLACK VIOLIN Returns To The Palace in April
Black Violin is the Grammy-nominated band led by classically trained string players Wil B. (viola) and Kev Marcus (violin). Joining them onstage are DJ SPS and drummer Nat Stokes. The band uses their unique blend of classical and hip-hop music to overcome stereotypes while encouraging people of all ages, races, and economic backgrounds to join together to break down cultural barriers.
BLACK PANTHER IN CONCERT Announced at Walmart AMP, April 15
Walton Arts Center will present Marvel Studios' Black Panther in Concert featuring a screening of the complete film with the musical score performed live to the film at 8 pm on Friday, April 15, at the Walmart AMP. The full orchestra, including members of the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas, will be led by conductor Anthony Parnther.
