Stage 773 is turning its redesigned Box performance space into an actor's training and performing destination. Starting in July, the Box will host an ever-growing number of classes, workshops, and programming opportunities in a rejuvenated space complete with a new staging system.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced Finn Wittrock as The Actor, Sarah Wayne Callies as The Actress, and Shuler Hensley as The Critic in the Kennedy Center production of The Guardsman in the Eisenhower Theater May 25 to June 23, 2013. Based on the 1910 comedy by Hungarian playwright Ferenc Molnar, The Guardsman features a new literal translation by Richard Nelson and is directed by Gregory Mosher. The press opening will take place on Thursday, May 30 at 7:30 p.m.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) announced the line-up today for the 2010-2011 Public LAB season.

Rehearsals begin today, Monday, April 5 for the World Premiere production of PARADISE FOUND, a new musical under the combined direction of Theater legend and 21-time Tony Award winner Harold Prince (the original productions of Cabaret, Sweeney Todd, A Little Night Music, The Phantom of the Opera, Company, Follies, Evita) and 5-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman (Crazy For You, Show Boat, The Producers, Contact). This is their first collaboration since the landmark, Tony Award-winning revival of Show Boat. Following the New York rehearsal period, the production will open at London's acclaimed Menier Chocolate Factory with performances running May 19 through June 26.

Court Theatre continues its 2008-09 season with the World Premiere translation of Henrik Ibsen's modernist classic The Wild Duck, directed by Artistic Director Charles Newell. Directed by Nelson, Conversations in Tusculum will run through Sunday, March 23 with an official press opening on Tuesday, March 11 at 7 PM.

The Public Theater will open its spring season with the world premiere of Richard Nelson's new history play 'Conversations in Tusculum.' Directed by Nelson, the cast of six includes Brian Dennehy, Joe Grifasi, Gloria Reuben, David Strathairn and Maria Tucci. Conversations in Tusculum begins previews on Tuesday, February 19 and will run through Sunday, March 23 with an official press opening on Tuesday, March 11 at 7 PM.
