"He also tweeted that he went to PT. I'm sure he's fine. But please, someone report if he sneezes! "
Hopefully he is fine, and I understand that some find all the attention the show is getting mind-boggling but the possibility that the title character of a show that has critics coming for the next 3 nights and is opening the night after is news even if the show is DOA.
Hogan, I do think Hamilton is news, I get that. I don't think a minor neck injury is news. He's constantly on Twitter, he shares everything. No need to panic.
I was at the show last night, and he seemed a little on the stiffer side, but I don't know if that was a neck thing or a Lin in general thing. There is something to be said for playing to the mezzanine, which Lin was not doing last night (though pretty much everyone else was). Lin was very much focused on the orchestra only.

If critics were there last night to review the show, I'm guessing they weren't sitting in the mezzanine.

True, but he was pretty much the only one who rarely (maybe twice) looked up to the mezzanine (especially in his aside moments). If it wasn't really for the others doing it, I probably wouldn't have noticed that he never did. It just wasn't consistent across the company. I'm definitely being picky, I understand that, but there were more people in the audience than the critics.
If it was Liza who was, yet again, having health problems, there would be hundreds of posting on this Board, hourly medical updates, and round the clock prayer vigils.

I think the fact that it was on twitter clues people in that it's not too serious. When was the last time someone announced they had a fatal disease on twitter? And if they did, wouldn't everyone just think they were being a drama queen?
just found out I have 2 weeks live :-o - no one ever
First of all, you are dead wrong (no pun intended) about what folks post on twitter.
Secondly, no one suggested anything was fatal, but the possibility he was going to miss press previews and opening night is quite significant. (Had it been the case, my guess is they would have postponed the official opening. Otherwise, Javi would have been the star of record.)
Finally, if you have ever had a neck injury (I have), it can be quite debilitating and you never know it is better until it is better. I just love love love all of the backseat driving one must endure on here.
