Bags at Theaters

Tomorrow we are flying into the City to see "Little Shop" and then catch "Hedwig" before flying back to Florida. Since it's a quick trip and really only a day, we aren't getting a hotel. That being said, we wanted to carry a bag with chargers, stuff for the plane, etc.. Does anyone know the policy for bringing in bags to the theater? What size is too big, etc?

I remember as a kid in the 80s they didn't allow them and you had to check them, but I'm unsure if that was only at certain locations, or if that policy changed. Any advice is appreciated!

If you can fit the bag under your seat, you should be fine. If it's a larger bag (like a suitcase or a duffle), most theaters have a coat/bag check.
