Barbra Streisand's Broadway! Part Six: The 2010s:

"Release Me" was Barbra Streisand's clever name for her 2012 album containing some brilliant, but unused tracks never included on any of her previous recordings. Naturally, there were some beautiful Broadway selections, such as Betty Comden, Adolph Green and Jule Styne's "Being Good Isn't Good Enough" from HALLELUJAH, BABY! and a combination of Burton Lane and E.Y. Harburg's "How Are Things in Glocca Morra?" from FINIAN'S RAINBOW and Lerner and Loewe's "The Heather On The Hill" from BRIGADOON.

Later that year, it was only natural that Brooklyn's own Barbra Streisand would be one of the first performers to play the borough's new Barclay's Center. She had a special version of Cole Porter's ANYTHING GOES hit "You're The Top" ready for the occasion, plus a dazzling rendition of Rodgers and Hart's PAL JOEY classic, "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered."

Then came "Partners," an album full of dazzling duets like Jule Styne and Bob Merrill's FUNNY GIRL smash, "People," sung with Stevie Wonder, and Stephen Sondheim and Leonard Bernstein's WEST SIDE STORY classic, "Somewhere," performed with Josh Groban.

And now, of course, we have the exciting news that Barbra Streisand's "ENCORE: Movie Partners Sing Broadway" will debut on August 26th, 2016. Among the 10 new selections gracing the album is this rendition of Marvin Hamlisch and Edward Kleban's "At The Ballet" from A CHORUS LINE. Joining her are Anne Hathaway and Daisy Ridley.
