Chicago League of Lady Arm Wrestlers in CLLAW X: Red, White, and Bruised

WHAT:
The Chicago League of Lady Arm Wrestlers celebrates America, Freedom, Truth, Justice, and strong-armed lady arm wrestling in its 10th bout: CLLAW X: Red, White and Bruised. Seventeen wrestlers, both returning veterans and a slew of new talent, will compete for the honor to wear the CLLAW sash and crown. See the theatrical fundraising experience Penthouse Magazine calls "one hell of a show!" With an open bar package and tickets available for online pre-sale, CLLAW X promises to continue being the most surprising and engaging theatrical fundraiser in the city. As always, all proceeds from the madness of CLLAW benefit Sideshow Theatre Company and a partner charity.

Saturday, July 2nd, 2011. Doors open 9:30pm, first match at 10:00pm.

TICKETS:
Three hour open bar package from 10:00pm - 1:00am for $25. Bar packages are now available for purchase online at www.cllaw.org/tickets. Tickets without bar package purchase are $10 and available the door the night of the event.

CLLAW X benefits Sideshow Theatre Company and CLAW USA (the national Collective of Lady Arm Wrestlers). CLAW USA's mission is to empower women and strengthen local communities through theater, arm wrestling, and philanthropy. CLAW USA is a cooperative effort of theatrical ladies arm wrestling leagues working together to further the movement worldwide. CLAW USA was started by many of the earliest established leagues and was born out of our desire to help get newer leagues started, educate about best practices, establish standardized rules for interleague competition, and make theatrical ladies arm wrestling safer, more beneficial to our communities, and even more fun. To date, the eight existing leagues have collectively raised more than $70,000 and helped dozens of small non-profits and women-initiated projects get off the ground.

Sideshow Theatre Company is an Illinois-based non-profit whose mission is to mine The Collective Unconscious of the world we live in with limitless curiosity, drawing inspiration from the stories, memories and images we all share to spark new conversation and bring our audience together as adventurers in a communal experience of exploration.

FEATURING:
CLLAW X is our biggest match yet with seventeen local ladies who have been in serious training to intimidate, entertain, and generally put on one hell of a show using their lady arm wrestling skills. Returning wrestlers include the CLLAW IX champion, Connie Vict as well as the dreaded Armageddon, the feared Harajuku Ninja, and the feisty Bettie Rage. Mistress of Ceremonies Rockke L. Squelch will continue her reign over CLLAW with the help of two questionable referees and special celebrity guest judges.
