Doubt - the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winner for Best Play - with Broadway's Cherry Jones, arrives in San Francisco's Golden Gate Theatre November 7 through December 3.

Doubt, Broadway's most honored play, is the winner of the 2005 Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize. This provocative production, starring Tony Award-winner Cherry Jones, recreating the role for which she was named Best Actress, written by John Patrick Shanley (Academy Award-winner for Moonstruck) and directed by Tony Award-winner Doug Hughes, leaves audience members deep in discussion long after the curtain has fallen.

Set against the backdrop of a Catholic school in 1964, Doubt is the story of Sister Aloysius (Jones), a strong-minded woman faced with a difficult decision. Should she voice concerns about one of her male colleagues...even if she's not entirely certain of the truth?

Doubt also stars Adriane Lenox reprising her Tony Award-winning role (Best Featured Actress) as Mrs. Muller, Chris McGarry (Father Flynn), and Lisa Joyce (Sister James); and features set design by John Lee Beatty, costume design by Catherine Zuber, lighting design by Pat Collins, and original music and sound design by David Van Tieghem.

Doubt runs Nov. 7 - Dec. 3 with performances Tuesday - Saturday at 8:00PM; and Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:00PM. Doubt is 90 minutes with no intermission.

The Golden Gate Theatre is located at the corner of Taylor and Golden Gate Avenue on Market at 6th Street in San Francisco. A limited number of $25 (cash only) orchestra pit seats will be on sale at noon before every performance.
