Photo Flash: Playwrights Horizons' KIN

Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) continues its current 40th Anniversary 2010/2011 Season with KIN.

KIN is a new play by Bathsheba Doran (Living Room in Africa, her adaptation of Great Expectations at The Lortel), directed by Obie Award winner Sam Gold (Circle Mirror Transformation at PH, Tigers Be Still, The Aliens, The Coward). The cast features Tony Award nominee Suzanne Bertish (The Moliére Comedies, the original London and Broadway Nicholas Nickleby), Bill Buell (On the Bum at PH, HBO's "John Adams"), Kristen Bush (Broadway's A Touch of the Poet, King Lear at The Public, Photograph 51 at EST), Patch Darragh (Roundabout's The Glass Menagerie and Crimes of the Heart), Laura Heisler (Doris to Darlene at PH, Coram Boy), Matthew Rauch (Broadway's The Merchant of Venice and Prelude to a Kiss), Cotter Smith (Broadway's Next Fall, X2: X-Men United), Kit Flanagan (Broadway: Inherit the Wind, The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, The Man Who Came to Dinner) and Molly Ward (The Seagull and Three Sisters at ART). The play was originally announced to feature Lily Rabe, who had to withdraw when The Merchant of Venice transferred to Broadway.

Limited engagement is through Sunday, April 3. GO BACK TO WHERE YOU ARE will begin previews Thursday, March 24 at Playwrights Horizons Peter Jay Sharp Theater with an Opening Night set for Tuesday, April 12. The limited engagement is through Sunday, May 1. THE SHAGGS: PHILOSOPHY OF THE WORLD will begin previews Thursday, May 12 at Playwrights Horizons Mainstage Theater with an Opening Night TBD. The limited engagement is through Sunday, July 3.
