Coming up this week, 54 BELOW, the performance venue located just below the legendary Studio 54 at 254 West 54th Street, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz and beyond. 54 Below also launched its series of late night events. Joining Tuesday nights' popular "Backstage" with Susie Mosher will be the "54 Piano Bar," a new vocal competition - "The Callback," and more.

This week will feature Broadway's own Liliane Montevecchi, rising star Adam Gwon, Barbara Carroll with Ken Peplowski for the WBGO Jazz Series, award-winning performer Linda Eder, Broadway star Telly Leung and actress, producer and singer Rita Wilson.

Liliane Montevecchi Apr. 8 at 7PM:
Liliane Montevecchi is exquisitely French, like the finest vintage champagne. Her enchanting autobiographical one-woman show is full of amusing personal stories and legendary songs such as La Vie En Rose, My Man, You Don't Know Paree, Irma La Douce, Ne Me Quitte Pas, and Folies Bergere. Her remarkable journey began as a Prima Ballerina in Paris, later becoming an MGM film star, and ending up as one of Broadway's most beloved divas. Adam Gwon, Apr. 8 at 9:30PM:
Rising-star musical theater writer Adam Gwon brings his fresh and funny songs to 54 Below for a one-night-only concert extravaganza. Heading up a five-piece band, Adam premieres brand-new songs and shares tunes from his musicals Ordinary Days, Cloudlands, The Boy Detective Fails, and String. Joined by some of Broadway's brightest new stars, including Liz Callaway, Kate Schindle, Betsy Wolfe, Santino Fontana, Kate Wetherhead, Phoebe Strole, Alex Wyse, and many more, the evening is directed by the Drama Desk-nominated Ed Iskandar. Come out for a heartfelt and irreverent celebration of one guy's precarious climb up the show-biz ladder, and the friends he's made along the way. Cover charge $20-30. $25 food & beverage minimum.

LATE NIGHT: THE CALLBACK, Apr. 8 at 11PM:
At The Callback on Monday nights, contestants will perform for a chance to win their own cabaret show at 54 Below. Contestants will be chosen by video audition, their performances will be recorded and uploaded to 54 Below's Facebook and Youtube page, and each week, a winner will be determined by audience vote to progress to the next round. "The Callback" contestants may also have the chance to sing in front of industry executives and Broadway celebrity guest judges as they move forward in the competition. WBGO JAZZ SERIES: Barbara Carroll & KEN PEPLOWSKI, Apr. 9 at 7PM & 9PM:
After more than half a century in the spotlight (she debuted in 1947 opposite Dizzy Gillespie's big band), jazz singer and pianist Barbara Carroll has earned a reputation as one of America's most legendary interpreters of American standards- "the first girl ever to play bebop piano." For two special performances, Ms. Carroll and her quartet reunite with jazz great Ken Peplowski, a virtuosic clarinetist and sax player and charismatic entertainer who has been delighting audiences for over 30 years. A former member of the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, Ken has collaborated with Benny Goodman, Mel Torme, Rosemary Clooney, and more. $25-35 cover charge. $15 food & beverage minimum.

LATE NIGHT: BACKSTAGE, Apr. 9 at 10:30PM:
Each week, Broadway cast members and audiences alike gather to mix and mingle at 54 Below, Broadway's most intimate haunt, located in the heart of the theatre district. Musical Director Brad Simmons keeps the house jumping from the piano, while host Susie Mosher (the love child of Joanne Worley & Paul Lynde) guides the crowd through an evening of music, mayhem and full throttle belting, while special guests from Broadway and beyond drop in to perform. NPR had this to say: "The best thing happening right now might just be the weekly Backstage. Hosted by the ridiculously funny Susie Mosher and pianist Brad Simmons who clearly is the man, it's two feel-good hours among New York's theater people, who seem like they're having a really fine time. Can't recommend it highly enough!" One of the world's most beloved and versatile voices, Linda Eder is forever linked to Broadway history via her Theatre World Award winning performance in Jekyll & Hyde. 54 Below is delighted to welcome this celebrated songstress to our stage for six very special performances only. She's a best-selling recording artist with fourteen solo albums to her credit, but this April, get up close and personal with Linda in Broadway's living room. Telly Leung, Apr. 14 at 7PM:
Following his smashing sold out 54 Below debut in December, Broadway's Telly Leung (Godspell, Rent, Glee) returns to NYC (and to Studio 54, where he appeared in Pacific Overtures) in a brand new show! Join Telly for an evening of great songs and personal anecdotes, directed by Alan Muraoka (Sesame Street, Miss Saigon) with musical direction by Gary Adler (Altar Boyz). Rita Wilson, Apr. 14 at 9:30PM:
Rita Wilson reveals her expressive, denim-and-suede vocals in a nostalgic throwback to the soft rock of Los Angeles in seven special performances at 54 Below this April. Wilson performs songs from her critically acclaimed debut Decca Records solo album, AM/FM, featuring iconic hits from the 60s and 70s, ranging from classic love songs to folk-rock tunes. The LA born actress, producer, and writer made her Broadway debut as Roxy Hart in Chicago. Cover charge $40-50. $25 food & beverage minimum.
