INDUSTRY INSIGHT: Weekly Grosses Analysis - 7/2; New Records for ONCE & THE BOOK OF MORMON

ONCE, the Tony Award winning Best New Musical had its best week ever, grossing $1,038,983 for the week ending July 2. ONCE plays on Broadway at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 West 45th Street).

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has broken the house record of Broadway’s Eugene O’Neill Theatre for the 36th time. The show earned $1,615,956.20 for the week ending Sunday, July 1, in the 1,068-seat O’Neill, one of Broadway’s smallest theatres.
