Atlantic Records and Dear Evan Hansen producer Stacey Mindich announced today that the Original Broadway Cast Recording of the new musical Dear Evan Hansen will be released on Atlantic Records this winter.

The album, which will be recorded next month, will be released on February 3, 2017 digitally and physical CDs will be available on February 24, 2017. The cast recording will be available for pre-order beginning December 2, 2016, and those who purchase at that time will receive an instant free download of one of the show's anthems "Waving Through a Window."

With a book by Obie Award-winner Steven Levenson, score by Tony Award nominees Benj Pasek & Justin Paul, and direction by 3-time Tony Award nominee Michael Greif, Dear Evan Hansen began previews on November 14 and will officially open at the Music Box Theatre (239 W 45th St) on Sunday, December 4, 2016.

"Producing the Hamilton cast album with Atlantic Records was the best experience I ever had making a record," said Dear Evan Hansen music supervisor and orchestrator Alex Lacamoire, who is also one of the producers of the album. "I'm beyond thrilled that they are adding another Broadway show to their catalogue, especially one whose score is as brilliant as Dear Evan Hansen. My goal is to make this record sound as amazing as possible, and Atlantic Records' guidance and resources will allow us to put out a truly special album. I look at the credits for some of my favorite records of all time, and I say 'That one's on Atlantic. So is that one. This one, too....' It's an absolute honor to be part of that family."

"Having worked with Alex Lacamoire on the cast album of Hamilton and having known and admired Benj & Justin for a while, we are so happy to continue those relationships and to be able to preserve this incredible score with this fantastic cast," said Pete Ganbarg, Executive Vice President/Head of A&R for Atlantic Records. "We are very selective about the Broadway cast recordings we produce and are thrilled that our next one will be for a work as special as Dear Evan Hansen."

The Dear Evan Hansen Cast Recording will be produced by Atlantic Records, Alex Lacamoire, Benj Pasek, Justin Paul and co-produced by Stacey Mindich.
