The 40th Anniversary production and first-ever Broadway revival of Stephen Schwartz's rock musical GODSPELL is currently playing at Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre. Directed by Daniel Goldstein and choreographed by Tony Award nominee Christopher Gattelli, the show opened on Monday, November 7. This afternoon, the cast visited Barnes & Noble, where they treated visitors to a special performance and signed copies of the just-released album. BroadwayWorld was there and brings you highlights from the big event below!

GODSPELL stars a diverse company of 10 young actors, lead by Hunter Parrish (Spring Awakening, Showtime's "Weeds") as Jesus and Wallace Smith (The Lion King, American Idiot) as Judas, and co-starring Uzo Aduba (Coram Boy), Nick Blaemire (Cry-Baby), Celisse Henderson (Broadway debut), Morgan James (The Addams Family), Telly Leung ("Glee," Wicked, Rent), Lindsay Mendez (Everyday Rapture), George Salazar (Broadway debut) and Anna Maria Perez de Tagle ("Hannah Montana," Camp Rock). Understudies are Joaquina Kalukango, Eric Michael Krop, Corey Mach and Julia Mattison.

Conceived and originally directed by John-Michael Tebelak with music and new lyrics by Academy and Grammy Award winner Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin), GODSPELL's Tony-nominated score features instantly recognizable hits including "Day by Day," "Turn Back, O Man," "Learn Your Lessons Well," "Prepare Ye," "Light of the World" and many more.

GODSPELL features scenic design by David Korins (Passing Strange), costume design by Miranda Hoffman (Well), lighting design by David Weiner (The Normal Heart), sound design by Andrew Keister (Company), orchestrations by Michael Holland (Hurricane) and musical direction by Charlie Alterman (Next to Normal).
