The Mystery Train continues its 12th Season of Mysteries with "Dead or Alive in 1985" by Michael M. Dragen, running April 15th through June 4th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 1301 Wyandotte, KCMO 64105. Wendy Thompson, the Artistic Director of the original murder-mystery stories, has created a unique theater experience for Kansas City audiences and sets the framework for the live dinner theater to include an interesting bit of Kansas City's history.

The train is the setting for the show and guests can participate as a passenger on the train, a character in the crime, or they may become the key investigator for the evening. They only need to bring their imagination and a spirit of adventure. It's a meal to Die for! Local actors and local playwrights are always featured on The Mystery Train. Michael M Dragen has penned several mysteries for KC audiences, including "Whistle Stop Homicide", "Sax, Violence, and All That Jazz", "Holly Jolly Homicide" and "Magical Murdery Tour".

The cast includes (l to r) Matthew Koehler, Jake Johnson, and Jennifer Bradley as the shady characters who will try to help you keep score. It's killer fun!

Dead or Alive in 1985 - "It's the World Series and fans of both the Cardinals and the Royals are taking the train back to KC for Game 6 when some foul play occurs! Is it a swing and a miss? Or, three strikes and you're ... DEAD?"

The 'train' leaves at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $69.00 and include dinner and the show and can be purchased on-line or over the phone. A cash bar is available. Advance reservations are needed and can be made by calling The Mystery Train office at 816-813-9654, or The Central Ticket Office at 816-235-6662, or order online at www.kcmysterytrain.com (service charges apply).
