Music Theatre Wichita continues its 2018 Season with the new Disney musical Freaky Friday. The third of five locally produced Broadway-scale productions, Freaky Friday plays July 11-15 at the Century II Concert Hall in downtown Wichita, KS.

The musical version of Mary Rodgers' famous mother-daughter body-swap story stars Kim Huber (Beauty and the Beast, Sunset Boulevard) as Katherine, and Chelsea Lynn Alfredo (Annie National Tour) as daughter Ellie. Several of the 2018 resident performing company members are performing featured roles, including Keith Gruber as listmaster Adam, Alyah Scott as Katherine's assistant Torrey, and McKenzie Kurtz as mean girl Savannah. Steve Hitchcock as Mike and Kilian McGaffin as Fletcher complete the family, and other adult roles are played by Karen L. Robu, Timothy W. Robu, and Betti O. Musical director Thomas W. Douglas leads the orchestra, bringing to life the score by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey.

MTWichita's production is directed by Producing Artistic Director Wayne Bryan, with choreography by Brian J. Marcum (Elf the Musical). The scenic design includes a fluidly moving physical environment created by J Branson, augmented by a wealth of static and moving images created by projection designer Michael Commentadore. Colorful costumes were designed by Dixon Reynolds, with hair and makeup design by Danae Jimenez. Other members of the artistic team include lighting designer David Neville, sound designer David Muehl, and property master Anna Rosell.
