Grasan Kingsberry Leads Music Theater Of Wichita's IN THE HEIGHTS

Music Theatre of Wichita will present Lin-Manuel Miranda's musical IN THE HEIGHTS August 7th- August 11th, 2019.

The production will star Grasan Kingsberry (The Color Purple, Once On This Island) as Benny, Ernie Pruneda (Sister Act) as Usnavi, Alma Cuervo (On Your Feet!, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown) as Abuela. Carlos A. Mendoza will direct and choreograph and the company will be under the music direction of Thomas W. Douglas.

Additional cast includes: Danny Bolero (Kevin), Natalie Toro (Camila), Gabriella Enriquez (Vanessa), Camila Packet (Nina), Alex Aponte (Sonny), Katja Rivera Yanko (Daniela), Mikaela Secada (Carla), Jonathan Arana (Piragua Guy). Maya Alwan, Kalene Blanton, Valeria Ceballos, Megan Goodlett, Chloe Nadon-Enriquez, Lena Owens, Paul Amrani, Michael Dikegoros, Anthony Giandiletti, Preston Perez, Justin Showell, Drew Tanabe.

Before he created the international sensation Hamilton, Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote this exciting and tuneful musical about the area of New York where he grew up - Washington Heights. A Tony-winning Best Musical in its own right, this show launched the careers of many notable Broadway performers, and announced the arrival of Mr. Miranda, one of the brightest talents in entertainment.
