"Jane Eyre" is a musical drama based on the classic novel by Charlotte Bronte - it premiered on Broadway in 2000 and received five Tony Awards, including "Best Musical". The Barn Players will present the musical opening Friday, April 15th through Sunday May 1st at the Barn Players Theatre, 6219 Martway in Mission. The play is rated "PG" and features husband and wife, Alisha and Matt Richardson, in starring roles; Alisha as Jane Eyre and Matt as Rochester.
Jane Eyre is a young orphan, ill treated by her aunt and cousin - she overcomes her abusive and lonely early life to become a teacher and Governess. She becomes a tutor to a young French girl and become involved in a doomed romance with her employer - eventually she finds love, family, wealth and is able to shed her past. The play is blessed with a wonderful, award winning musical score

Dent/Vicar; Elise Dorsey as Miss Scatcherd/Mrs Dent; Molly Johnson as Bertha Mason; Sarah Menez as Marigold; Elise Campagna as Helen Burns/Jayne Ingram; Ellie McManamy as Adele/Lowood Girl; Anne Haines as Grace Poole; JoAnna Geffert as Blanche Ingram; Jane Stevenson as Lousia Eshton/Lowood Girl and Michaela Mense as Amy Eshton/Lowood Girl.
Lowood Girls include: Mia Vaught, Little Large, Elise Bowles and Bridget Walsh. The mens' ensemble includes: Mason Hoyt, Chuck Chambers, Miles Wirth and Corey Dingess. The womens' ensemble includes: Megan Kroeger, Satrah Jeter, Corinne Bakker, Elise Campagna, Anne Haines, Molly Johnson, Kathleen Marx, Sarah Menez, Erica Baruth and Mia McManamy.
Show dates are: Friday evenings April 15th, 22nd & 29th at 7:30 p.m. --- Saturday evenings April 16th, 23rd, & 30th at 7:30 p.m., with Sunday Matinees April 17th 24th and May 1st at 2:00 p.m.
