DRAMA CAMP NOW ENROLLING, Godspell

Broadway Academy of Performing, a kid's theatre camp hosted by Newman University Theatre Department, is now accepting registrations. The camp dates will be May 30th through June 6th at Newman University in Wichita, KS. Kids ages 11-20 are eligible, and campers under 11 years can be day campers. The campers will arrive the afternoon of the 30th, audition and rehearse all week for this year's production Godspell, the fun high-energy musical by Stephen Schwartz based on the book of Matthew. Broadway Academy of Performing is now in its 18th year, and this is the first at Newman University.

The campers of Broadway Academy of Performing consist of residents from the five state area. While in rehearsal, they are directed by professionals in the music, dance and theatre industries. Campers will live on campus while preparing for the performance. Past productions include The Sound of Music, Annie, Wizard of Oz and Cinderella.

The production will be in the De Mattias Performance Hall on the Newman campus on June 6th at 2:00pm and 6:00pm. Reservations not required. Tickets are $5 for students and seniors, $10 for adults.
