On 31st May 2020, The Self-Isolation Choir and Baroque Orchestra recorded and performed the whole of Handel's Messiah with over 3,600 singers in the worldwide online choir, hitting global headlines. One year on, we're doing it all over again! Our singers have spent twelve months polishing their choral skills at "the busiest choir in the world" and have now re-recorded all new versions of the magnificent Messiah's choruses. Meanwhile our sound engineers have honed the orchestral and solo recordings, featuring some of the best baroque vocalists and instrumentalists around, to produce a new and improved production to rival any in-person performance. On 31st May 2021 - a day we now call HALLELUJAH DAY - we will premiere our Messiah 2... and we invite everyone to come and celebrate with us! The concert will be streamed on YouTube, with live conducting by Ben England BEM. It is free to watch the stream, though we would kindly request a suggested donation of 5 to support the choir's Creative Director. Hope to see you there!
