VOICES FROM WINDRUSH
Civic Award Winning Arts Charity, Global Fusion Music & Arts bring a unique production ‘Voices From Windrush’ to Greenwich Theatre.
It focusses on the lives of people who fought in two World Wars, those who were invited to rebuild Britain, their lives, their experiences. With dramatic pieces, live music, poetry and footage of key moments in the history of the Windrush Generation.
This production features: writer, actor, singer and poet Antonette Clarke-Akalanne, originally from Barbados who was invited by Enoch Powell, to come to the UK, worked Greenwich, is now studying for her Masters in Black Humanities in Bristol University. She performed her poem Windrush in 2018 in Houses of Parliament.
There will be music from local singer/songwriter Phiyah Stone and her band and performance from a full cast of professional actors. An evening of unforgettable stories, of real lives brought to life through, Drama, Poetry, Music and film
