Friday 4th August and Saturday 5th August, 7pm to 8.30pm
In an effort to find a standout dress, Sade visits her local bespoke seamstress Gladys. While there, she unexpectedly runs into an old acquaintance Violet. While Sade tries to keep up with the Jones, Violet just wants to deliver her daily mail round, and Gladys rushes to finish her dress orders, an unlikely friendship forms despite their very different worlds. Heated debates, wardrobe mishaps, and affirmations - Best Fit follows three women as they candidly explore beauty standards, womanhood, and the pressure to fit in. Set against the backdrop of African prints and bespoke creations, expect an energetic and warm journey into a view beyond the surface. Best Fit is performed as a work-in-progress staged reading.
